I have a new Mazda 3 Sky 2012, with 8000k on it. I have noticed almost since I bought this car, that the drive is really rough, i feel every bump, and the rebound from the road is almost unbelievable to think a car would run like that. I have had it to the dealership 4 times, I had vibrations at certain speeds, in the steering early on within the first month, they balanced my tires. Second time I went back it wasn't fixed, they did an alignment, and re did the balance. 3rd Time they sent it for Road Force Balance. Now the vibrations at certain speeds is gone, but the drive just seems excessive? Sometimes when I am driving I almost feel like the car is all over the place, and i have been told by the dealership that is the way the car drives, and its the trim level that drives like that being the "Sportier suspension".
LIke to the point I am thinking of getting rid of it?
Any insight? Helllllp

Could be a number of things causing the issue, if there is an issue. I'd suggest for one if your located in the GTA maybe meeting up with another member here with a similar vehicle and let them drive your car to see if they notice a difference, or the rough ride. Secondly if you've been taking it back to the same dealer, try a different dealer or an independent garage to try to diagnose the issue. Always good to get a second opinion.
Best advice I can think of at the moment.

The vibrating isn't normal, but the bumpy ride definitely is. That's the fun of owning a Mazda!! Want a soft cushy ride? Buy a Toyota ;)

tis true, Mazda's do have sportier suspension and the ride is a bit bouncier/rougher. Every car handles differently so if you are comparing this with your last car that is the problem...if it is crazy bouncy then there is an actual problem...if it is as rough as a Honda Civic with cut springs then there is an actual problem (lol)

I agree with Flagrum here, before you spend anymore time and money taking it in places to be checked out get another member here to take her for a spin to feel her out. There may be no problem at all and you are just expecting a softer ride...if there is a problem they will likely notice almost immediately and then you at least know there is a problem, plus they may have some insight into what the cause could be.

1st Question - Did you purchase the vehicle brand new? (as in fresh from factory, not a demo, with next to no mileage)
2nd Question - Did you test drive the vehicle before purchase?
If no to both, after all you've done to try to remedy the situation, I would recommend what Flagrum_3 is advising. Go to another dealership and schedule a test drive with the exact same model. Sorry if it wasn't the type of car you were expecting. Hope you find the solution you're looking for :)
Maybe your tires are over inflated?
Over in flated tires will cause a very bumpy ride.... Check your door to see where the psi is supposed to be and them check your tires and see where their set at

Trade cars with me for a week. You'll think your suspension will be soft as cotton.
We can't give you a definite answer without telling us if you've test drove that same vehicle before, and if it was new.

I bought this car brand new, 36k. I previously drove a Mazda 3 GX 2005. So I thought Iw as used the the ride. But this ride obviously newer model is completely different.
I did not test drive my actual car it was in the show room, but i did of course drive a new Mazda 3.
I have taken it to the same dealership, thought the same thing, and took it to another one. They said nothing wrong..Just the car. I guess comparing from my old ride, this one just drives rougher.
They have checked the alignment, and tire pressure, balancing and all.

You can try some or all of these options:
Install softer springs, down size tires to 15's or 14's with larger sidewalls, get an extra seat cushion, or sell the car.

I have a 2010 MZ3 GT and my wife has 2011 MZ3 2.0 and personally I think the ride in her car is rougher then my car that is lowered and stiffened. It's the nature of the beast. Really I don't mind the rougher ride as most of my driving is back roads that are smooth and highway driving. I don't think I could handle a plushy ride anymore, since I like to be able to feel the road under my bum when I am driving.

Who doesn't? A lot of R&D goes into this, OP should be grateful! :P
I personally like it too. My MZ3 is reminiscent of an A4 and ,not as much, an X3 I used to drive. One of the misconceptions most drives think is the suspension has some correlation to price or brand image. The sportier the car, the harsher the ride, even if it exudes luxury, or is German, etc. I enjoyed a sportier suspension, it inspires confidence in the twisties and most importantly, emergency maneuvers.

its a new car, let the suspension, tires, etc wear in to the GTA roads. a still suspension is usually what people want, enjoy it while it lasts lol

It's the tires!!! I also own an S2000, still a hard ride with serious rubber, but much nicer than my ,Mazda 3. Looking for suggestions for alternate tires. The Mazda is my everyday car so comfort, not performance is needed.

Try an S2000 if you think sporty performance means harsh ride. My own S2000 rides better than the MZ3 by a long shot and it's on serious rubber
