Have you wondered why US pricing on many tires is dramatically lower than here in Canada?

The following PDF document recently published by the Tire Dealers Association of Canada explains why:

Easy solution if you live near a border. Find a reputable tire store in the states like Discount tire, schedule an appointment with the franchise closest to the border. pay for your tires and have them install and bam instant savings. Not to mention the tax you'll pay down there is next to nothing compared to ours. and you won't have to pay for duties cause customs will never know you swapped your tires.

Some shops will make sure you pay when you get to the border.
Also, its not worth it to not declare the tires.
Get blacklisted over saving $50 or $60 is definitely not worth the headache in my book.
