Hi all, new to this forum as I recently purchased my car.... From reading other threads I've noticed that the first advice given is to always search old posts. I did that for days and did all the research I could before deciding to tackle the issue myself. I bought a 6000k HID kid and relay harness from NextMod for my 2006 Mazda3. Also picked up a 4700uF 16v capacitor from Sayal. Trying to install HIDs as DRL. When I install the setup without the relay harness + capacitor (ballasts connected to the bulbs and the OEM wiring) the lights flickered and shut off. Kind of expected this to happen which is why I picked up the relay harness and capacitor.
I wired my relay harness like this following this video:

only difference is my 2 spade wires that attach to the OEM harness are attached to a plastic plug so it almost looks like a regular household plug. I'm assuming this makes no difference in terms of wiring it.

Only difference is that my relay harness has a second ground wire.
I tried attaching the first ground wire to both the negative terminal on the battery as well as the frame. Nothing happens when I turn the car or the headlights on. Sometimes when I turn the lights off with the engine still running I get a loud buzz/screech that I think is coming from the ballast. Any ideas on what I did wrong? Any help is appreciated, I'm out of ideas. Thanks! and sorry for the long post.
