as a student athletic therapist, my classmates and I were very quite excited to have been able to witness the injury. He is under very good care, as the trainers for the Louisville team are a top notch medical staff.

Thats definiately not an injury that happens often in basketball with that kind of mechanism, we've seen arms and ankles break quite badly but hardly ever a lower leg of that nature. really some interesting stuff.

They think he already had some pretty serious stress fractures. That and the resulting torque of twisting and landing from a large jump caused the splinter and break in two places.

relatively clean though. Should be good with a rod and a scar he'll be playing again in a year I bet.

Yeah gotta have some predisposing factor to fracture like that.

One of the nastiest injuries I have seen. Not quite Clint Malarchuk , but up there..

The Marcus Lattimore injury last NCAA football season was pretty graphic too. I found it worse TBH.
