Pretty cool, seen it at the Autoshow, the guy was also telling me there is an app coming out for iphone that will allow you turn the car remotely, turn AC, roll the windows, etc, etc.

It's kind of cool, huge screen, but I bet you can get used to it ;)

F*CK NO! As if one needs another distraction source from driving especially since a majority of the controls ( environmental, sound, moonroof and internet connectivity and others) cannot be made without taking your eyes off the road.

Not a fan of the touchscreen HVAC etc controls, but that car is awesome.

That's pretty cool if it came standard. There is already an app for any car right now if you have the right hardware installed. Viper has the smart start system and you can start the car with your phone, control the windows, sunroof and monitor the location with GPS.

Back on topic. Love the Tesla, just hate all this tech inside that can distract the driver. Already bad enough as it is with phone calls and texting on a cell.

agreed. My mom's new Ford Edge has a full touchscreen that controls climate controls and phone calls, and radio, and whatever the hell else she wants pretty much and it is distracting as hell. And its a pain in the ass to use while trying to drive to make sure you are hitting the right touch buttons while bumping down the road...I can just imagine people trying to slide their fingers to open the panorama roof, or adjust air ride height (although that is sick that it uses bags as the standard suspension...)

What if this were to happen while you were driving

And your massive panoramic roof is open just as it begins to rain/snow fairly heavily??

:chuckle
