Does anyone know of a touch free automatic car wash that will accommodate a ford transit with a ladder rack. I measured the van and its just under 8ft tall including the rack.

It's our work truck and it badly needs a wash.

borrow a pressure washer. save yourself from the car wash fee and wash it yourself for free. its a work van, not a mercedes

Maybe there is no space for OP to wash the truck/van/cargo/toolshed.

TO OP:
If you go through an automatic car wash with a rack on top (saying if it fits) You likely wont get too good of a wash. The soap and such will still be trapped on the roof, then come running down the sides, windshield etc.. you wont get a good wash and it will be a waste of your money.
But it also depends on the type of rack you have.

Wash bay. That's how we do our glass truck.

Btw. How do you like that truck?

Next work vehicle will most likely be that type.

ive driven and worked on that truck and its not bad. a lot of room inside and its a relatively easy vehicle to drive. go test drive one and youll know what i mean. just dont take the turns too fast...lol

and yes, use a wash bay, or wash it on the street or something without soap.

That's my problem with work trucks. We have a lot of constant weight on it. So it's hard to tell how it will react. And there is no way to tell until we get it and put the rack and materials on.

Overall its a great small work truck, which is what We wanted. Its easy to drive/park, its great on gas (4 cylinders) and still has some power with all the stuff we keep in it. The only complaint we have so far is the cup holders are terribly placed, there's no center console for storage and the moldings on the outside of the van seem to not be attached very well. Maybe its just our van that the moldings weren't applied correctly, i havent really taken a look at other vans.

I guess were gonna have to wash it in a coin op self serve wash.

Thanks for all the replies.
