So over the weekend, I was out and when I came out from the furniture store (30 mins after), my car would start. At first i thought it was my clutch because my pressure plate is kinda stiff and you need to step on it really hard in order to start the car but i still heard the click everytime i stepped on it so i think it wasnt that. I got my dad to come and try to give me a boost but no luck(all the lights were on and everything). Thankfully he has some free tows on his td card and I got a tow truck to come and try the boost first and possible tow.

He hooked up the booster cables and i tried it but i didnt work. He left it charging there as his truck was on and then went to play around my fuse box to see if anything was loose. After like 10 mins he wiggled a relay (used for DRL mod that Dan installed for me a couple years back) and my car started. I noticed on the relay that one of the connectors were burnt (like black) so i figured that was the problem. I went home and replaced it.

The same night, I went out to drive my gf home but it wouldnt start (again all the lights, radio, sub was working just fine). I then thought maybe the battery is shot. I took my dads battery charger and set it jump start and kept trying. I had to wait like 30 seconds before it got enough power to jump start the car. It then happened again the next morning. So I went to replace it with a brand new battery and bam it starts just fine.

Now tonight, it did the same thing. So i know it cant be the battery because i just got a brand new one. I think my car is draining the battery somehow but im unsure of how to check it.

Anyone have any ideas? I cant keep asking for boosts lol

fold down the seats and check if the trunk light is on
if it is, then the switch in the latch isn't working right

If I'm understanding what you're saying correctly, I don't think it can be that the battery is draining somehow. If the battery was drained, your lights would likely be dim, the radio probably wouldn't work and your sub, especially, wouldn't be working well. If you have a multimeter you can check the voltage in the morning before you go to start it. That way you can rule it out as a problem.

If you say that playing with the DRL mod relay allowed it to start and you noticed it was burnt in that area, I'd definitely take a closer look at that first. If its not too difficult, try removing or completey disabling this mod and see what happens. I'd try and rule that out as a possible problem first since it does sound somewhat questionable based on your description at this point.

The trunk light isnt on because my light stopped working. I have to check why. I folded my back seats down to see if my amp was powered for some odd reason and noticed it wasnt on even when the trunk lid is closed.

In terms of draining, it wasnt completely dead. I have enough battery to light up my interior but just not enough crank it over. I hooked up a light which has 2 clamps for me to test the battery and the bulb lit but was very dim. That is what made me believe the car's battery is draining.

So I also did that yesterday. I pulled out the wiring and this morning it started so we will see what happens. I'll probably check it out tonight when I get home with my multimeter to see how electricity is being drained when parked

Take it to parts source and have them check your charging system and battery....they do it for free....rule out that side of things, then do a visual of cabling, rule that out...then go from there...
