I swapped to summer tires last night. On my 'test cruise" the Airbag light came on. Borrowed my father in laws code reader (cheapish one) No codes.
Assuming there's some BS Mazda version that can read the airbag codes?

I'm going to replace my cabin air filter when I get a chance, I'll check the connections and such in there.

Turning off the car, then restarting it clears it for a few minutes, but it pops back on again at random times. I'm assuming its a flakey connection somewhere.

Anyone else have experience with this?

Airbags scare the shit outta me. Too many pranks gone wrong on youtube. Don't feel like breaking a wrist/face... any "safe" way to troubleshoot this?

Did you move your seat recently? Mine was a loose connector under the passenger seat. Pushed it back firmly, while the car was off, and all is good now.

I had the same issue recently. Re-seated the connections and everything was good to go (with the ignition off!)
