Went in to 401 Dixie this morning for an oil change and to my surprise they managed not to screw it up! After reading the terrible reviews here I knew I was taking a serious chance, but they could fit me in first thing next day when I called, so I went for it. I had tried Erin Mills first but they had nothing for Thurs/Fri (apparently everyone wanted an oil change before the long weekend).
Appointment at 8:00, CX-5 was in the back bay by 8:05, drove out at 8:50. Coffee in the lounge was drinkable, free wifi, decent chairs. Service counter staff were friendly (can't speak to how knowledgeable they were, it was just an oil change). Heard some grumbles from the other patrons about the shuttle, but it was rush hour and he was stuck on the 401 so not much they can do about that. One of the managers eventually offered them a ride when it looked like he wasn't getting back any time soon.
Now, I was using my free 8,000km service coupon from the closure of Direct Mazda, so maybe they were trying to impress, but I received a coupon for a free car wash over on Matheson too. A nice touch, though I doubt it happens on the regular.
Not sold on them as my permanent service department, I may still try out Westowne since it's close to home, but for now I'm proceeding with cautious optimism.
