Airbag light being on and off.

Whenever an airbag light comes on you are suppose to scan it with a scan tool. However, I don't know if these are common problems or not. I noticed that my airbag light comes on and off.Also, I do not put any lunch bag or something heavy on my passenger seat. Anyone experienced this kind of problem? Thanks

Most home OBDII scanners won't pick up the airbag light.

It seems to be a common problem. Happens all the time to me. I just haven't worried about it. As long as its off when a passenger is in I'm not concerned.

is the seat belt fastened? is it flashing? is there something in the seat? or does it come on and stay on randomly? its usually suggested to take it to the dealer as they have the proper tool to diagnose it. the air bad system is not something to play around with or risk malfunctioning. and air bags and modules are very costly if they go off

Check your passenger side seat to see if it loose connection.


A while back I had the same issue... My passenger side was not fully connected... I plugged back in and the light never came back on.

+1 happened on my brothers 3 as well.

Okay,Thanks for the advice I'll check the passenger seat underneath.. if anything I'll take to the dealership and let them scan it.
