Currently own a Mazda3, Year: 2005, Automatic, 2.0L

I've been noticing problems when I first start up the car when I begin to drive it. When I begin to apply on the gas pedal, the RPM goes up, but then I feel a sudden push in the car. For example, I'd approach a stop sign, wait 2 seconds and then accelerate.. and as I'm accelerating and the engine is changing gears, the car would stall for HALF A SPLIT SECOND and then sort of jump forward.. (its kind of hard to explain it).

Could anyone know what the issue is?? I recently cleaned out the throttle body, did my oil change, and replaced the spark plugs.

Please help!

Torque converter problem? Do a torque converter stall test. http://www.freeasestudyguides.com/torque-converter-stall-test.html

Check your tranny fluid level...properly.

You'll probably get a CEL P2188 'idle too rich'.

CEL=Check Engine Light, P2188 is an engine code, meaning (Fuel too rich rich at idle). If you get this cel or not; after checking your tranny fluid level, it would be prudent to check your MAF wires for breaks or looseness and check vacuum hoses for leaks.
