Hey Guys,

So I have a buddy at a dealership, and we decided to scan my car to see what the results for the etest would be:

Misfire - FINE
Fuel System - FINE
Comprehensive - FINE
Catalyst - Not Completed
Evaporative System - Not Completed
Oxygen Sensor - Not Completed
Oxygen Sensor Heater - Not Completed
EGR system - Not Completed

Evap and EGR system - are completely stock. I think I can get the sensors to ready if I follow the drive clean procedure. I hope.

Catalysts and O2 Sensor issues are the trouble. I have my 02 sensor unplugged, and wires cut so it doesnt throw a CEL.

Background: My car is boosted with the HiBoost kit. I run a Haltech F10X for fuel. This means the injectors are cut to the stock ECU, and there is no 02 Sensor in the car (just an aftermarket one for a gauge, but that doesn't count :)). To see how the Haltech is wired, and which wires are cut, see here: http://www.explicitcontentz.com/mazda3/haltech_mazda3.doc (The injectors and the O2 memory)

My thoughts: Run an O2 simulator. I am thinking this may help with the O2 codes, and "not completed" status. However, will the computer toss codes for the missing injectors?

Will update with some more info soon....

Basically, the injector wires no longer run to the ECU, nor does this wire:

Find wire A2 (red) in the rear main connector. This is the wire that keeps the memory for the O2 sensors. Cut this wire from main rear ECU connector. Join the other grey/red wire to the wire going into ECU. Isolate very well the other end as it has constant 12V and leave it disconnected .

EGR might just need a cleaning, they get clogged up pretty good... just need to get some maf/carb cleaner and clean it out

Your o2 sensor is what stumps me for a quick dirty fix, I would get a new o2 sensor and run an extension bung or something else to get it working properly without throwing a code... but you have a custom set-up that my solution probably won't work for...

Clear the codes and drive it for 30km..
If no cel comes on, you should be good to go..

Otherwise, f I have no clue..
Try manipulating by running a live o2?

it basically is a huge scam and i truly believe it will be gone in a few years. spend 450$ trying to fix your car, then you get a conditional pass, even if your car doesnt pass... lol

like others have said, relocate the 02 sensor behind a new cat.

Reconnecting an O2 is not an option, and agreed at scam lol

You don't actually have to spend the 450.

You have to pay for the scan and diagnosis, as well as a second scan.

If the quote for repair is over 450 you can deny the repair and get a conditional pass. If the quote for repair is 350. You have to pay that to get a pass or conditional pass.

My mothers jeep wouldn't pass. Her total bill was about 150 for a conditional pass.
