I just recently got some LEDs off of eBay, they work fine but when i connect them they don't light up what so ever. All i got was just the LEDs, do i need something else in order to make them work, or do i have to do some wiring?

flip them over. leds are negative and positive dependent unlike a halogen which can go both ways

How can they work fine but also not light up whatsoever? :S

I trust nothing from eBay, I bought the corksports, $50 plus shipping and duties, but they worked! Been on for a year now and every led still works no issues!

I hate to hijack this thread, but seems relevant in terms of topic.

Has anyone installed a set of multiple LED foglights? I'm thinking like those found on the newer C series Mercedes. I think they might look pretty nice on a gen1 MS3.

I have always thought that if your car didn't come with led strips then they don't belong. It just seems that everyone is doing it now and most of them look tacky. But who knows it could look good? I'd say leave it to Audi. Even the new GTI's have LEDs in their headlights and it looks dumb in my opinion, but that's what it is, an opinion.

There are a couple that are designed for the 2010-11 cars. One set fits in the bumper insert of the non-MS3 cars, the other fits in the lower vents at the very bottom of the bumper.

Do you happen to know the brand name of them?

I don't think there is a brand per-say. Just search eBay for LED DRL and the appropriate model year, they'll come up.

A couple of members have done the bumper-insert ones here I believe.

Just out of curiosity did you wire them in series or in parallel? I initially did mine in series (I know -_-) and pulled a decent amount of hair out... rookie mistake

You would wire then in series, because if you put them in parallel, the led's would be half as bright. Am I thinking correctly?
