There is steam coming out of the AC vents after driving the car for more than 5 minutes. No color, a little bit sweet-like odor.
Should I get checked and fixed ASAP?
Is this a big problem? I need to make an airport trip tomorrow (80KM round-trip). Is it safe to go to the dealership after that?
Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply!
From reading those two threads, this should be a common/known problem.. Guess I'll take it to the dealership to check next week for a piece of mind.
Driving another 100KM for now should be OK, right?:)

You might not even see it again after the rain/humidity go away. Happened to me once or twice and I panicked and then forgot all about it haha

To be honest, it's close to no smell. the reason i say that is because i remember i saw it somewhere sweet smell is coolant.... so i think it's more psychological than physical...

Drove about 5 KMs today and noticed there is some fluid leak from passenger side left foot rest (under dashboard)...
A little scary now... and all dealerships are booked up for the long weekend, and I have some trips to do this weekend. Is it safe?

If the fluid is clear it is either rain leaking in or it is AC condesate. Probably the condesate drain is plugged. Either way no immediate concern. Long term rust and mold......

Took a dealership today - turned out the cabin filter needed to change... after $150, no steam or leak water any more... :)
THanks all!

i saw this from my car too, i just assumed it was from the high level of humidity and me cranking the AC, so it created a steam

You paid 150 just to change your cabin filter?

:facepalm
Go easy on the lad, John! :chuckle I bet the dealer charged him for the diagnosis. The filter is only about $30'ish, but takes all of 10 minutes to replace on the Gen2's....
