Lately I have heard a squeaky noise from my clutch some mornings.its not every day. I'm trying to narrow down when it happens. It sounds like the clutch wire? Is not lubed.

It is independent of when I shift.the noise comes every time the pedal is pressed.it goes away after about 50 presses. Could this be due to the transmission fluid beijg low or is it possible to lube the clutch pedal its self.

I have a 2005 Mazda 3 with 109,000km. I changed the fluid with redline mt-90 at about 71k.

Thanks in advance.

Update.....It seems to happen when it's hot outside. And usually the most noticeable noise is when i push the clutch completely to the floor the last 1 or 2 inchs i get the noise.

No one had this before??? Starting to think maybe fluid in tranny is low?

Clutch pedal assembly probably...mine's in at the dealer right now getting replaced under warranty.

Make sure they're not idiots though and realize that when they take off the clutch master cylinder, they might need to replace the seals on the lines.

All my research keeps point to the clutch pedal assemble. I inspected my clutch pedal and all seems ok there are two different springs there that i will probably give some more grease too. I'm curious if i can lube the inside of the plastic plunger that goes through the fire wall. It looks like there is already some white grease is there. I'm thinking i will put a bit of grease in there. I am just not sure if that will do harm.

Also has anyone gotten to the clutch pedal assembly before??? What the best way to get there from the bottom up..or from top down remove battery intake plastic blah blah until you get to the transmission?

I'm having this problem too! It comes and goes as well. Unfortunately my 3 year warranty has ended recently before the problem came up. Would the greasing help or be enough? Any adverse effects if I leave it?

You go from battery down.

I'm I still have not done anything with it and it has stayed the same. Although this weekend i going to grease the black thing on the inside. Even though i don't believe that's the problem. It is something where the linkage meet the transmission.

I don't know if there is any adverse affects. I would assume it may break one day? I'm curious if it's related to the transmission fluid in any way though.

It could be the throw out bearing.

It could be the throw out bearing.

would make a creeking noise if it was the throw out bearing. doesnt even sound like in the video the car is running. i would suspect cable or spring. if its just noise and drives the same. try some lube. if not. turn the radio up. not worth chasing if its just for the noise. cost more to replace the assembly then its worth.. trust me. they are a PITA to replace. can take a full 8 hours or more if anything is seized believe me.. we just replaced one at our shop

Throw out bearings can make noises even if the car is not running. After all they do slide in an input shaft spline which is exposed to clutch wear material. Also there are no cables as it is a hydraulic setup.
It also could be the slave cylinder, fork, spring assembly that makes the noise. But this is all internal to the clutch bell housing.
