Good eats around town

Hey guys,

Got this idea for a thread when I read Aitch's thread on Italian take out/catering.

Basically just want people to post places they've enjoyed eating at other than fast food chains.
Thread could benefit people who keep going back to the same restaurant over and over again because they're afraid to try anything new.

I could mention a couple:

Matsuda (AYCE sushi at Middlefield and Steeles),
Johnny's Burgers (people would call this place legendary. Victoria Park and Sheppard)
Demetre's (for those that like dessert, or are taking a girl out. East Beaver Creek and Hwy 7)

The Standard 667 College St.
Ask for Couper's Chicken Sandwich from the chef Jegan.

It's not listed on the menu, I knew the girl who used to live in the apartment above the place (her name was couper) and he made a special kind of sandwich just for her.

If you are a fan of authentic Indian food then I recommend the following:

1- Kwality Sweets on Steeles Avenue in Brampton

2- Brar Sweets (not sure exact address but are in Brampton and only vegetarian)

Both have exceptional food with catering available, take out and eat in.

Goodys Diner closed because they wanted to focus on catering. I loved going there :(

What? Goody's diner is closed? They were doing really well though. Everytime I went there, they're always packed...

I think this happened in October last year. They suddenly closed and kept and note. I kept going to see if they changed the notice. Then after a few weeks on Facebook they made the announcement. It was the best burger place. I hope they change their minds and reopen

Pakistani cuisine- Lahore tikka house(in the south Asian area of Gerrard....not hard to spot since they have the biggest building there)

Went to Bloke & 4th on King street and Spadina last night for dinner (summerlicious). Was amazing, and if you're into the club scene the restaurant turns into a club afterwards
