Bose deck into non bose equipped car?

I would like to change my car over to the Bose system (I really liked the one in my 04 6 v6). I've done some searching and can't seem to find anything on this topic (maybe blind or search deficient). My original deck quite and I have a friend that was going to give me the Bose head unit and i was going to source the rest at the local wreckers. Are the required wires in my stock harness? Could i use just the head unit on my stock system? Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Speakers are different impedance. And you need the amp to go with the head unit.
