View Full Version : Minor things about my new Mazda 3

So I just bought a new 2013 Mazda3 GS hatchback. Overall I really like it, but a few minor things are annoying me right now and I'm not sure if I can do anything about them. Any help or advice is appreciated :)

First of all, the blue light that comes from the microphone spot bugs me... not so much the fact that it's shining on the centre console, but more that I can see the light on the ceiling and it's kinda bright. Any way of disabling this easily?

Second, any time the headlights are on there's a bright green indicator on the dash. A) I don't need to know that, I can see that they are on by looking outside and I use Auto mode anyway, and B) it doesn't seem to dim at all with everything else so it is really bright.

Third, the info screen... I find it a little distracting, but if I turn it off I don't get a clock either.... why can't I just turn off everything except the clock? (Which is rather small in the regular info-screen to begin with)

Finally, in my old 2010 Mazda3 the Bluetooth phone volume was really quiet - I usually had to have it between 40 and 45 to hear and sometimes as high as 55. In this car, it's more like 50 to 55 normally, and if someone is on their own speakerphone and hard to hear or if I have my A/C at max, I hit the max volume at 60 and struggle to hear them at all. Same phone (BB 9900).

Thanks!
