so this weekend some may know i dipped my girlfriends civic,

took me about a day, some prep work night before at 10 pm till 1am, then up at 8am to finish prep then spray, then ran into some difficulties as my laundry room flooded and its upstairs, but finished around 8 the next day with some bumps away from the actual project,

She slightly rear ended someone last fall and then got rear ended a month after that, so we got new bumpers front and rear, including doing a 04/05 rear bumper since she is 03 and also a hood, also got her new front lip and new side skirts along with new headlights, lots of new parts,

used

1 1/2 gallons grey
4 gallons white.

3 coats grey
6 coats white

this is what it came too, still have two cars to do... hehe

Don't add the gloss, this method of spraying gives you horrible orange peel. When doing a dip leave it matte only.

no gloss on this car, the next two cars are going satin, half gloss half matte clear for a top coat

means you didnt put it on thick enough, if you put it on too thin it wont peel properly,

nice job matt!

Good job matt, i remember you telling me about this.

Just a question, those 2 places that you bought the dip from: good prices and do they have stock of aerosol cans?

And what's the reason for the grey coats? Using it as a primer to even the color out?

Support a member out Peter and buy from him (dippedinc.ca)

also i did grey because of the black parts, make it all one colour, also because the white is super thin to spray so with dip under it you acn put it on heavy

btw name is ryan :p
