With Go for Tires closed, who can recommend a good tire shop in Markham?

The two forum sponsors are too out of the way.

Thanks in advance!

PS: No CT and Walmart don't count...

It'll be worth your while to go to Simply Tire. Great service, great selection and great prices. Its not often that you need to get them done so I believe it's worth going out of your way.

Braiden Tire on Markham Road/Hwy 48, north of 16th Ave. Not sure if they are really "discount" but I've bought tires from them twice in the last 18th months and the price was OK. . In Aplil, while waiting for them to put new tires on the 3 met, met an elderly lady there who had been their customer for many years and kept coming back although she had moved to Toronto downtown. Steelcase that other mentioned is good too but becomes a little crowded

Joy City has a road force balancing machine. Price wise no idea as I have found that you can get a better deal more of the time buying from tirerack even with cost of shipping. The availability of choices are also just better online.

For what it's worth I have found the last few tires places I went to all push what they have in stock. To the point that I don't really trust any local tire place.

Certain falken tires were pushed hard on this forum but later balancing issue became apparent. So yeah take any recommendation with a grain of salt.

+1 to Joycity .. I replaced my summers a couple of months ago. The price was better then any other shop I could find and there was also a rebate on those. Installation was a breeze and they took great care of the car and the rims.

Braiden prices are always more than Joy City.

Steelcase used to be okay but when they tend to be biased / pushed for certain tires (probably reason that they get a better wholesale pricing discount). When you want to your own selection, Steelcase will say those tires are sh** and would never put them on their wivies/families cars at all.
