Audio Set Up Help Please

i have an 07 M3 HB, knowing that i have the oem 5X7 speakers am i able to mount a 6X8 speaker in there without another bracket or is a round speaker better for quality?
i'm looking to upgrade above oem speakers

this is the equipment i have now

what else do i need other than cabling? (i would like to attempt my own first install if possible)

also, does anybody know where i can order an ipod cable that goes from the back of this HU?

I'm unsure but I don't believe those speakers will fit without modification.
You can get direct fit speakers if you like.

The HU doesn't seem to have preouts, so an LOC will be needed unless your amp has it built in ( some pioneers do, but I'm cant find any info on the amp you posted.)

The IPod cable can be bought off the shelf at any audio shop. I have one that I think I got at Canadian tire years ago. The problem is it doesn't work with iPhones. If you would like I can uninstall the cable from the jeep and you can test it out before purchasing. ( depending on your location)

Power will run from the batt to the amp. Ground from the amp to a grounding point. What do you mean by ground to battery? Do yourself a favor and get a wiring kit.

i'm in Winnipeg so that won't help,
i tried at a high end audio shop and they wouldn't give me 2 seconds of help even though i was going to buy the cable... guess i'll try future shop & best buy
i have the harnesses for the unit, i'm sure you mean a wire kit for running the speakers?

I wire kit to connect the amp. It comes with everything you need to wire it.

when i bought the Audio , the ipod cable was ready from the manufacturer. why don't you have ?

what is behind that red tape?
is there another connector behind it? if so, you maybe able to just get any of the ipod integration kits out there and plug it in... grom audio, the official mazda kit, etc

its just a hole, nothing behind there...
