So. Maybe an odd post. Will see.
Has anyone heard of or tried solid control arm bushings? I know I believe whiteline has poly eurothane ones. But I was thinking solid. Solid steel or aluminum.
I replaced my lca's this summer and was actually disappointed how sloppy the standard bushings are. They seem very soft. Softer than I expected. I thought afterwards about a solid bushing. I thought about having used lca's where I could possibly press out old bushing and attempt to install my own personally fab'd bushing. I unfortunately chucked my old lca's.
If someone had a set of lca's (used of course), I'd come and pick them up. If ball joint is still good it would be a bonus.
Or if anyone knows of or has heard of true solid bushings for these I'd be interested to hear.
Thanks all

The thing is, if you replace it with something solid, they'll eventually comrpess/wear out and develop play. The rubber bushings have give for a reason - to absorb the shocks and bounce back to centre. (I just replaced my driver LCA yesterday in the driveway, at 210k lol)

I'm sure for a track car it'd be an improvement, but I think if you were to press in solid Bushing, You'd be decreasing the time between repairs.

What other mods are done? I'm sure there are much more noticeable ones to improve responsiveness. A good set of tires will do more than those LCA bushings.
