I have an 05 model, used. I just put in the original stereo the other day. The lights around the 3 circular controls don't work (the temperature, fan speed, and air flow direction).
The AC light turns on, the air circulation light turns on, the defroster light turns on. But the rings won't. Also that little white part on the dial won't turn on. I'm hoping the previous owner disconnected the illumination and I have to plug it back in

How do you take out that console? Is it simple like with the center console, just popping a couple of clips?

You need to remove the stereo again an I believe it's one or 2 more screws to get the havoc control off.

so i went to the dealership and it appears that there is something in the console wiring that short circuiting the fuse. I have to leave the car for the whole day tomorrow so the mazda technician can work at it..
