As the title says, tire has been going flat every 3-4 days. I seen a tiny tiny tear on the side of the tire. Is it possible for me to get it fixed any place or do I really have to change the tire ? I really don't want to buy a new tire right now because I'm going to be changing my tires to my winter set in a month or so. Anyone know any good tire shops that can fix this issue with a reasonable price ?

If it is a side wall puncture the tire will need replacing. However, even though a tiny tear appears on the side, that may not be the source of the leak. Best idea is to take it into one of our wheel/tire sponsors and ask them to take a look.

^ that

find the leak and get it repaired if possible. my tires are pretty much dead with extreme weather cracks in the side wall, deep cuts in the tread and multiple holes. nothing is leaking expect some holes in the tread and one large hole in the shoulder. had these all plugged and theyre holding 35 psi all around. im getting new tires very soon.

anything on the sidewall cannot be repaired as mentioned by hype. anything on the shoulder is very hard to plug and will not last, but will slow down the leak until you get new tires. anything on the tread can be repaired (within tolerances).

it is advised that you take it easy with your car until you can get it properly repaired or replaced.

if your able to get your tire off your self, pour some soapy water over your tire, if you find bubbles, you know where your leak is.

In Markham closest shops would be SimplyTire or RimRim . Check out the sponsors section of the site.

Vamz Get a spray bottle with water and liquid soap. Unbolt tire. Spray the tire and start looking for lots of bubbles. If it is infact your side-wall has a rip then buy a new tire or GOOGLE used tire shops

How are their prices on tires ? I called RimRim and he told me for 2 tires its 250 and only one of my tire's air is going out. Do i have to change both tires for the rear or is one okay ?

you are better to change two tires at once. Change either both front or both rear. If you change just one the wear difference on the tires will cause your car to handle differently than you would expect.

I called him and he said 250 for both tires. Is that a decent price ? Or do you know any other cheaper places as I will be changing to my winter set soon.

My Fiance's Mazda5 has 3 different brand tires on it for summer - She had a blowout about a month or so ago, and I was planning on buying a set of 4 for next spring - There have been no ill effects to running a different brand tire. if you go to a used tire shop, try and find a tire that has similar tread life left (and similar characteristics (All season, UHP, Z rated, etc)) It will hold you over until you can buy a new set of 4, if that is in the cards in the next year.

I paid 50 dollars for the used tire, (205-50-17) installed and balanced.

250 for tires is very reasonable. Depending on the tire of course.
You will be using these tires next year.
I wouldn't keep out on tires, they're the one thing keeping you from sliding out and killing yourself and damaging your car.
