I installed HIDs a few months back and they weren't as bright as I thought they would be but they were better then stock so I was happy. When I turn them on the go really bright and quickly dim and then take a minute or so to warm up to full strength. As time goes on I feel like the full strength of the HID is getting dimmer, to the point where i'm not even sure if the HIDs are more powerful then the stock headlights were anymore. Has anyone else had this problem?

bulbs are dying or the reflective material behind the projector/bowl is flaking off and getting burnt.

Sounds like your expectation of hid's was just way too high to begin with. Depending on how long you've had them however of course the bulbs will get dimmer overtime through natural use.

the reason why your lights are getting dim is because you are staring too much at the HIDs. This damages the nerves in your eye ball and can lead to blindness if you are persistent with looking at your HIDs. If you feel the HIDs are not bright while driving, simply close your eyes for 30 seconds and open it back up quickly. Your headlights will be very bright, when they go dim again, repeat this process. It works!! I don't suggest you try this though because it's awfully dangerous.
