Man tried to back up into my car on the 401

I was driving to work on the 401 Collectors East this morning and was stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic, just past 401/Allen Rd.

Man in a Corolla tried to back up into my car. Good thing I left space because I saw him inching towards me and honked at him but he kept going so I changed lanes as soon as I found an opening. I pulled up next to him, put my windows down and he wouldn't look at me! He put his car back in drive and just kept looking straight ahead.

I wanted to get his license plate but that would require me to go back behind him or go in front of him. I didn't wanna risk it so I kept going.

Pretty sure he would've tried to say that I hit him and ask for money or threaten to go through insurance. It would be my word against his unless I had a witness who was willing to stick around.

Thinking of getting a dashcam now lol.

Also dont be afraid to call OPP about erratic drivers (Not 911 lmao, they have a number for Highway Reporting). If its Bumper to Bumper traffic they will likely get nailed within a few KM's

After almost getting scammed by a scammer, the last thing you want is a "fake" dash camera.

My recommendation for an expensive and realiable dash camera would be the dvr-027 from dealextreme:

I bought a Contour Roam from Amazon for $99 shipped brand new.
A good friend of mine modded it to record 720p @30fps..
An amazing camera to say the least.

I didn't have anyone try to hit me but I did have a run in with some idiot trying to run me off the road saying I was racing around..
Needless to say I pointed at the camera and told him I was calling the cops..
He ran..

All of this because I turned right on green and he was in a rush to turn left ahead of me.
So yea, cam the sh!t out of your cars!

lol.. you don't say.. bad drivers come in all colors and backgrounds but it seems as if the Middle Eastern variety are the worst.. they usually hit you.

The Caucasian drivers don't tend to hit you but they are the most arrogant, stuck-up a-holes on the road. I see more Caucasian drivers cutting people off, speeding, and acting like complete donkeys than any other color.. they sure know how to make ones blood boil lol.

Check out TechMoan on Youtube for extensive reviews of car cams. Based his reviews I picked up a DVR0801 to replace a failed BlackVue, and have been happy with it.

Picked-up the iCAN at Canada computes today and 32G chip. I've got 7 days to try it out and return it if not happy...Easy set-up and pretty good quality video. Manual is lame though.
