Thinking of changing the head unit/deck in my 2010 Speed 3. I currently have a Qualir(similar to Eonon) OEM look deck installed. The deck has been ok, but I find I want something with better SQ, and the ability to connect to XM/Sirius radio.
Key features -
Double Din ~7" screen
GPS
Rearview camera
XM/Sirius
Bluetooth phone connectivity - higher marks for units known to have good call quality
Android connectivity a bonus(I currently have an iPhone 4S, but likely switching to the Nexus 5 when released)
I've looked at the AppRadio from Pioneer, and am not a fan of having to run everything through my phone.
Also looked at the Pioneer Z150BH - and it's an option, but I don't love that everything is an add on adapter(Rearview, XM, Ipod).
What else do people recommend ?
For reference the rest of my system -
JL TR speakers front & rear
2 * JL 10W3 Subs
Alpine 4 channel 800W amp - for door speakers
Alpine Mono amp 1000W amp - for subs

Honesty Ami, I see no reason to not just get the Pioneer....They have always made awesome products, (They tend to spend a little more on internals then most), and the first unit is definitely top-notch.
Just my 2c...

There is this also.http://www.crutchfield.com/S-prIBOVHCvMj/p_500INEZ928/Alpine-INE-Z928HD.html not cheap but 8" screen, and lots of features.
I just changed my JVC NT30 for a Kenwood I find the Kenwood slower than the JVC in every way. Takes longer to find the satellites, longer to read files, but the sound is better,I also like the sliding screens and the ability to touch the song title on the screen to select a title, which I couldn't do on the JVC
I bought at Future and originally considered the Pioneer, the guy I dealt with steered me away from Pioneer he has one in his car and has had the touch screen replaced twice.

Might be a stretch of the budget but the Alpine INE-W927HD would be a contender for me.

i would go with kenwood, one of the best head units out there. from my experience with installing, setting up, and personally using kenwood would be my #1 choice.

What about something like these:
http://www.aotop.com/products_info.asp?pid=178&bigclassid=12&smallclassid=131&minclassid=0
http://www.autodvdgps.com/2010-2012-mazda-3-android-car-navigation-system-with-3gwifi-dvd-recording-dvbt-phonebook-game-3d-map-p-3656.html
Those are relatively cheap units similar to the Qualir though I guess ... and without XM radio ...

Second link is actually Qualir. Autodvdgps = Qualir.
I'm looking for at one of the big manufacturers this time around. Between Pioneer and Kenwood right now.

I've got Kenwood in both my cars. The new double DIN+NAV units are great. Awesome tuning capabilities and great SQ. The top end deck does full NAV and BT, and has full control over x-over and EQ as well as time align. The UI is a bit slow but the SQ is awesome.
After that I'd go Alpine

Kenwood or Pioneer all the way, Ami.

I was going to say build an in-car PC running windows 8
But Alpine has always been a choice brand for me.

That sounds cool. I would go with an android tablet though. More apps and google maps.

The first one is garbage. If you ordered it do your self a favor and chuck it.
You need at least 2 core processor and a minimum of android 4.0+

I would go with Kenwood, Excellon models all come with 5volt pre-outs so sound quality is not compromised for "features". Also they are Android compatible.

is there even a development community supporting this? because it's running 2.3, so unless someone is working on a port for jellybean, you're SOL and are stuck with an old OS
