Hey TM3 Photographers,
My wife and I are having a baby and have been searching for someone to take some fall maternity photo's. We have found people with prices from $60 - $150 (our price range is around $100), but not sure who to go with, or what quality of photo we will be getting. So i've decided to post here to see if anyone of our photographers here have a date free, on a saturday or sunday this month or next.
We are kinda hoping for around 50 photo's edited on a disc. It is no problem for us to drive/meet up somewhere. Please send me a PM if you are interested.

Thanks,
AJ

(sorry if this is in the wrong section)

$100 isn't going to get you much of anything. Photography equipment is expensive and the good photographers have to maintain good quality equipment.

50 Photos fully edited likely will take a day to do. Think about it, if it's 10 minutes a photo adds up to more than 8 hours. And good paying attention to details editing takes way more than 10 minutes a photo. Plus the time to drive to the location plus take the photos. It's below min wage work at $100 for 50 photos.

Personally we just had a baby ourselves and my sister has (She does maternity and baby photos quite often) offer to do it for us for free. We declined. The photos I took myself (ok so I actually do get paid to moonlight as a photographer) are much better to me. Instead of posed, manufactured shots that everyone wants because they saw it in a magazine (the same applies to Wedding photos BTW, that soul sucking industry of repetitive painting images of a life they wish they have instead of the one they actually do). We have photos of things that actually happened in our everyday life. There are no props or gimmicks. The photos will not look old fashioned when baby's grown up.

If you found the sort of shots you like online (pintrest anyone?) it's not unique, there are millions of brides, grooms, babies and parents with the exact same photos. Sorry but it's true we live in a mass produced world, even in the most personal aspects.

Hey but if you are still interested pop my sister a shout: http://www.sharpfluff.com/ Don't know her pricing though.

50 photos for $100 will be hard to swing as gotak suggested. Like a few others my wife is a photographer as well:

but if my budget isnt worth while for anyone, please post that, so then the moderators can lock this thread.

Hopefully someone can help you out because it's really a special event. There has to be a photographer out there on TM3 that can create a custom package that would fit your budget.

I guess SEARS portrait studios are out of the question....

$13 sitting fee and you pay for the ones you like.
