I am thinking of installing fog lights on my 2012 Mazda 3 GS. Is my best bet to buy from a local dealer or would it be cheaper on ebay. Will I be looking at the $400 range taxes in?

It will be at least 400 at the dealership and then if you install with them around 160+tax. I got mine from MOT and those were approximately the prices I paid.

If you decide to do it yourself, you can get the fog lights for about 300 I think, and some come with the switch even. I'm going to just get the lights and fog light housing and install a toggle switch myself lol.

I have not called a dealership yet but ebay has the OEM fog kit and switch for $350 including shipping. Than you may or may not get hit with duty and tax. Duty through Canada Post is usually $5. Who sells them for $300 with a switch?

You will most likely have to source out a wiring harness if you buy the ones from rockauto, which is either $130 or $160 I can't remember. If you want them installed just send me a message.

For the prices buying separate I mind as well hunt down a package deal. Install looks easy enough but thanks for the offer.

I called 3 dealerships and the guys at the counter started quoting each part out until I told them there should be a kit less the switch. For the whole kit including a switch the price ranged from $475 - $500 plus tax and no installation. I am all for buying local but $150 more than online just seems crazy. Can anyone confirm the part#s for the fog kit and switch on a 2012 2.0 liter sedan. My vehicle does not have auto lights.

This is what I found:
fog light kit BGV4-V4-600
Switch (without auto lights) BBM3-66-122
