What is the difference between Hubcentric and OEM rims?

I am planning to buy steel rims for winter tires.

I found that there are two or three types of steel rims.

1. OEM (Follows manufacturer's specifications (best))
2. Hubcentric (The wheel is centered by the center bore, manufacturer's specifications might change (better))
3. Universal (The wheel is centered by the studs (good))

I am going to buy Hubceentric rims.
is it okay to buy Hubceentric rims for winter tires?
what is the disadvantages of hubcentric rims , compared with OEM rims ????

Just get OEM rims. no worrying about if the rims are going to fit the centre bore. And if the centre bore is better than the OEM you will require hubcentric rings.
