So long as it's in a format that I can hand it off to a machine shop to produce it doesn't matter personally.

Solid works as well as pro engineering can be converted to autocad format easily.

I doubt you wont find someone on here easily but if not, call up George brown college and talk. With the machine shop prof. We used to do stuff like this for people.

Machine shop takes drawing in .dwg or .dxg format, at least all the shops we give our drawing too for fabrication. Some shops also prefer pdf files. But all drawing software will be able to convert thr drawing to .dwg or .dxg format which are compatible to autocad and you can view using any free dwg reader in case you don't have 3d software.

Good to know.

I will probably print it to scale on PDF cut it out and see how it lines up on the block. If it's close enough then I'll have a few produced.

EDIT:

I have another more complicated project after this one but I still have to get some more parts for it.

Not unicorn parts. I want to add an upgraded oil cooler to the factory system with a remote oil filter. All the methods I have tried before cause too much of a flow restriction in the system. I'm also going to couple this with a Cosworth oiling system.

Paul I'll gladly do any CAD design work for your projects free of charge. I also have unlimited free access to a 48x96x12 CNC mill that can cut wood & plastic if you wanted to do any initial prototyping stuff before committing to something in steel or aluminum. Unfortunately I don't have the free access to steel processing equipment that I used to, but I still get very good pricing for that type of work. Feel free to message me any time I always enjoy working on interesting projects

Just a little update, I'm currently trying to get a hold of the Cosworth Dry sump system. It isn't a direct bolt in for the MZR engine so once I have the unit in my hand I can begin the rest of this project. I will need to get some gears modified to fit so it should be interesting.
