Question for Eonon HU owners, re: Changing UI graphics.

Hey guys.

I do a LOT of travelling for work so I'd like to add a GPS to my new 3. I'm kind of a stickler for the OEM look so I'm thinking about picking up the Eonon D5151. From what I've seen it's pretty okay for a $300 HU, but every video I've seen that shows off the UI just makes me cringe.

Not trying to offend anyone who doesn't have any problem with the stock UI on their Eonon HU, but I do a fair amount of UI design and everything I've ever seen regarding these HUs just rubs me the wrong way. The icons, the fonts, the graphics -- everything.

I'd like to know if anyone has tried changing any of the stock graphics on their D5151?

Just going off of what I find on youtube, you can change the UI elements on the G2227:

So I guess I'm just wondering whether anyone has tried something like this on the D5151? I'd love to hear that it's possible, and if so then I'm definitely going to pick a D5151 up. If not then quite honestly I'll just try to find a place to mount my iPhone and keep using it for my GPS.

i have the eonon 5163 for my 2nd gen no problems love the way it looks and gps looks great imo :)

It's probably quite similar to the G2227 video you posted as they are WinCE HUs, but I haven't tried.

I've had my D5151 since June and have had 0 problems, this morning it froze up for a second but it was REALLY cold overnight..really can't beat it for the money.

They have a new one out now, It can mirror your cell phone screen.

Well I'm picking up my car this Saturday and hopefully picking up an Eonon HU shortly thereafter so I'll see if I can't hack together a better looking UI :)

No luck, unfortunately. None of the folders that contain the graphics could be found when I plugged the unit into my computer. Honestly I'm about to put this one up for sale.

I got a Eonon 5163 and was wondering from other eonon owners which map stuff i could use for mine.. Any suggestions? Also will need steps in doing the download/installation?
