Cars all ready to go for the swap!

New Coilover display around my wheels, apparently due to the way the lower mount is suppose to go, it is not a good idea to have aluminum front lower mount, so I went with steel mount instead.

Hey Gais, These are actually MIT stuff, Its called WAT Racing Development, not so much a new brand, they have been around since 1997, used to manufacture for SARD. they were the original maker of 57mm Coilovers. Yes, they are similar to FA, however, it is re-designed, and the internals are different as well with imported parts and oil from Italy etc.

Just double checking here. Are you sure the collars go on the bottom in the rear? They are typically on the top for the mazda 3. I could be wrong tho with this new brand.

Hey, yeah, they go on the bottom. I actually have done some hard driving with these now that they're on the car. very good road feel, takes pot hole quite well.
Apparently they use some good quality valve gaskets and oil rings. high quality rubber material, imported italian damper oil. the owner of this company even encourage me to come back for partial upgrade on the damper internals for track use.

we'll see how it goes.

BC actually switched early on.

Is that all the way down?

nope, the car is currently driving on streets of taiwan, and its a dd, roads here sucks, thats why I have it setup like that. As of now the car sits a bit lower than that from the spring settling. at full low we can achieve a tire tuck, and would still manage to maintain a nice ride, I'll see if I can get a all the way down setup picture up.

fwiw dave they are 100% identical to my ksports, same rear spring/mount/collars etc everything even down to the little colored twist tie holding the washers on the bottom of the rear shocks lol!
i am guessing the brakes are the same as the ksport brakes also.

op being in taiwan and ksports being made in taiwan also says it all.

Evolutionian-how much did those coilovers cost you in taiwan? Car looks great also, makes me miss my black sedan :(

These are no where near k-sport level actually, I am located in Taiwan does not mean its all from k-sport, these are branded WAT Racing Development, used to make stuff for Fortune Auto, and the size of the dampers are different as well, at 57mm outter diameter, I dont think k-sport or bc or tein makes that size. its easy to tell how much bigger it is by looking at the pictures. These cost me $1200USD, and guaranteed no oil leak.

and when I said no where near K-sport, I mean these are at a much higher level in terms of comfort and damper feel etc.

If your spending over $1k get kw. Made in Germany, lots of r&d, and most importantly they can be rebuilt here.

fair enough. I think all suspension can be rebuilt anywhere, that depends on the shops abilities. and just slightly over 1k what does that get you in KW?
Hate to mention, but I think they're not ALL made in Germany. But why would you believe me :)

Just sharing these coilovers comparing them to BC/D2/Ksports, nothing against anything else.
