Hey guys,
Whats a good food that I can just eat large amounts of? It needs to be fairly inexpensive, and something that won't make me become fat. I like to eat, and can eat a lot, but often just don't have the food so I wanted some suggestions!

These are all decent ideas so far. the rice is one I like but the carbs aren't as nice, and bugs might give indigestion/hard stool what with all the carapace. I guess the veg with some lower fat dips wouldn't be so bad. I love oatmeal but need a sweeter one which would make it become bad for me as I usually like 3-4 of those little paper sacks at a time.

lol - you have some... legs in your teeth...
Dried fruit is deceptively calorie and sugar dense :P It depends on what kind of food you're looking for. Snack? Meal replacement?

I would call it snack. Something for between meals, during meals, just after meals, and possibly along side other snacks. I could eat every half hour or so if given enough consumables. I'm a growing boy!

Canned tuna (water packed not oil) could work.

Haha... dude, you're looking for the Holy Grail. If there was a good tasting food with no calories and is cheap, there would be no fat people (such as myself).
The best thing you can do is cut down on carbs. When you're out and you're choosing a side, choose the salad, not the fries. Minimize starch. (I should STFU. I just had a big plate of fried rice for lunch.)

Yes I suppose buying big cups of the plain vanilla yogurt would be cheaper, and getting a big bag of granola from bulk barn would make for at least a week of snacking. This could work people!

bulk barn is a life saver. I used to go there weekly and get some almonds, raisins, cashew butter and a little honey to top it off aha

How about pasta with veggies and meat. You can cook a bunch of that and eat away.

careful with that...once you stop taking it..your weight will decrease. I took that stuff for a bit and gained mass. Once i stopped using it i lost everything. just sayin..

If you just want to chew on something just get celery. Co-worker is into body building and eats that stuff all day as a snack.

Good Advice all around everyone. I went and got some granola and danon vanilla yogurt today so I will see how that turns out. 1lb of granola at Bulk Barn was less than $2 so can't go wrong!
If skittles were good for you I would be wearing dentures already hahaha.

Quinoa ... use it instead of rice in any meal that would have rice. It's like a supergrain. And it has a unique and interesting texture and flavour.

+1
I'm type 2 diabetic and use quinoa often, it has a very low gyclemic index and high in fibre. It took some time to get used to, started making quinoa salad, then eventually moved to using it as a substitute for rice. It actually takes well to indian cuisine.
