So the dealership replaced the stock battery (which had died) and the amazingly, a few days later, the amp dies (it's not actually dead, in fact it keeps making noise even when the car is off, but it won't play music). Of course they can't possibly be related!

Anyone know where I could get a used Bose amp for a 2010 speed3?

Possibly a fuse?
It may not be the amp?
Check using a multimeter.
I'd also check the radio and have a talk with the dealership in regards to warranty.

Actually had it in the dealership today they said it was the amp and quoted me an unspeakable price for a replacement. Going to place a call to Bose and see if they can repair it? but in the mean time it might be easier to buy someones old amp.

I have a Bose amp but it was from honda accord. If it fits and works, then you can buy it from me.

Bose won't sell or service anything car audio related.
They are complete asshats when it comes to anything other than home theater.

How much was the quote for out of curiosity?

You could check local junkers to see if they have any.

the bose sub is not MS3 specific, you can get one from a regular GT and it's the exact same thing... so that should broaden your search ;)

The sub or the amp?

sorry, amp... both of them are the same between the regular GT and the MS3
there's a cloth seat version and a leather seat version... I have no idea what the difference is... I guess the equalization is different? I don't think it matters much if you can't find the correct one and must have a working system again

Haven't people been saying for years that "Bose Blows"? lol

Sorry for not being helpful, but just had to point that out when I saw the topic title :P

some people call it "blose", but I've been fairly happy with mine so far... they're a little muddy in the mids, but I'll live with it rather than dealing with all the problems with an aftermaret HU
