Exile Amp (exact amplifier in the link below)

JBL 10 inch
Kenwood ddx370 double-din
PROBLEMS:@:@:@:@:@:@:@:@:@:@
When I'm playing music sometimes the sub will start hitting contentiously even when i go on the system settings through the deck and turn of the sub-woofers the sub will still be hitting. the only way this stops is when i turn of the deck. i checked all the wiring from the amp to the sub and everything is connected and seems fine. the ground is bolted down under neath the carpet in the trunk and the connection looks to be fine. the amp is not blown because the light on the amp still turns on and the fuse under the hood looks to be good. i also notice that when i touch the wires while the sub is working i start to hear the sub make scratchy noises and start pounded repeatedly and quickly.
Any thoughts suggestions or solution's to my problems?

No one has answer or has ever experienced a situation like this?

Does your deck have a subwoofer out?

Dave_The_BMXER you mean rca's? if so, then yes it does. i haven't pulled out the deck just yet.

Yes. Since you said it was playing with the sub turned off I was wondering if you had it plugged into the wrong pre outs.
Start with the simple things first as they say...

sounds like a ground loop, try a ground loop isolator or just ground your rca's, your getting interference from somewhere into your subs. you may want to take it in and get an installer to do it.

grounding the rca cables has to be done in the back of the deck? wrapping a wire between the back where the rca wires connect and then grounding them of a screw?

I'm assuming for the isolator that it connects to the amp?

Turning off the deck turns off the amp too - you don't know which is causing it...
Disconnect the RCA going into the sub and see if it still does it. If it stops then you know it is probably something coming from the deck.
Hook the RCAs coming from the amp to deck to a normal out of the deck. You will have full range sound coming from it into the sub and it will sound weird but you can't damage it. See if it is doing the thing. If is doesn't then it is coming from the sub output on the deck.
Last thing you can do is fire up the amp by jumping the remote on at the back from the power and see if the sub does it with the front turned off. If it does then it's the amp.
It is not a ground loop IMO and doesn't make sense.

Sorry.. The OP was written pretty poorly. Saying "the sub will start hitting contentiously(sic) even when i go on the system settings through the deck and turn of the sub-woofers the sub will still be hitting" is somewhat unclear.
I can only assume the OP means that even with the sub outs turned off, the sub is still getting signal. If this is the case, than the simplest answer is that your sub is plugged into the wrong outputs in the deck. Do you run a separate 4ch amp for your speakers? or are the speakers run from the amp in the deck?
You need to pull the head first and verify that the RCA's feeding the amp are plugged into the Sub out and not another pre out from the deck. If those are patched correctly, and there isn't some extra phantom run of RCA somewhere, then I'd say your deck is pooched and is sending signal to the sub out no matter what the gain settings are.

The sub is working with the song I'm playing. For example if I turn down the volume to 0 the sub will still be working and and it the hits very quickly. I go to the system setting of the deck (Kenwood ddx370) and turn the sub OFF from the system settings the sub will still be working. The only way the sub does not work is if I turn off the deck or if I pull out the speaker wires.
I don't have any amps to the door speakers. All the audio I have is listed in the op I have stock door speakers

DLYDRVN what do you mean by deck is "pooched" the deck has been in the cat since november

ok, lets clear a few things up,
1. Is there vocals coming out of your subwoofer?
2. Does the sub keep playing the music when the sub output is off of is it just like an "uncontrolled" boom that pulses really fast?

Ok. If you have the sub still passing audio with the main volume at 0 and everything is patched correctly then your deck has shit the bed. Ie: pooched, dead, malfunctioned, fubared, screwed etc...

he could also be getting signal interference through his rca's if they are run to close to the power wire, also could just need to ground his rca's/ buy new ones, pinched rca's.
jay, your best bet is to just take it in and let an installer diagnose it, there are multiple things that can be going wrong

What he's describing isn't signal interference, its actual audio being passed to the sub. I've never heard power do that.
If what the OP is hearing is the signal, as it should be heard, passing to the sub when all connections are correct and the gains are down, then the deck is fscked.

well i solved my own problem!! i am so HAPPY LOL. It seemed that the rca cables were plugged in the output part of the amp so i just plugged them into the input part just hoping for the best and it turns out it worked! Guy's, thanks alot for your troubleshooting and input!
