This has happened to me twice now in the last two months. Driving a 2012 hatch with tech package (Bose and GPS). When I have started my car first thing in the morning, my Bluetooth won't connect. It acts like I don't even have a Bluetooth, no Bluetooth options in the stereo menu. My gps will make no beeping noises when selecting options. My statelite radio and AUX buttons will do nothing. Then as I am driving my BSM OFF light will flash repeatedly. So anybody have any idea what the deal is?? I have noticed that both times this has happened it has been mild during the day and very cold at night. Then when I start my car later in the day after work everything is fine. I have no electrical modifications at all except throttle body ground. The real kicker is that I am at 64 000kms!!! Just out of my bumper to bumper! In my experience electrical problems end up being $$$$$! I'm scared haha. Any help is appreciated.

Also this morning when this happened, it would allow me to push AUX one time and the stereo would just search and search for BT audio, then give up and the AUX button would no longer work. But it shows my phone is connected and I can still receive and make calls, just no audio.

That's just a weird combination.

The BSM.... the only thing I could suggest is look under the rear bumper to see if Ice/snow has caked things up there. Perhaps it's affecting the sensors under the bumper cover.

For the BT. I would try to reset things. I believe their is a ROM fuse that kills the stereo and any memory. Maybe a reset and repairing of that will help.

I've read that snow/ice can cause the sensors to act up and the car disables the system (car does need a bath). I'm also wondering, I got a new car charger for my phone roughly around the same time this happened the first time. Wondering if that's causing a short and throwing the car for a loop?
On the scary side I read that the sensors can run up to $850 per with installation!!!

Upon further reading, the BSM system will "pause" if driven on a road with little to no traffic. This will be indicated by the BSM OFF light flashing! Good news! I drive mainly on back country roads at 5am! This makes sense! Now if I could just figure out my Bluetooth!

+1 on the warranty.

Try that ROM fuse for a reset to see if that problem gets resolved. You will have to re pair your phone, set the clock and all radio presets so record those before trying.

Thanks, I don't know why I thought 60 000km?? Yeah I will try that ROM reset. The only problem I have now is I am unable to play music via Bluetooth.

Sounds like Pairing then. Delete device from Car and also in phone if still present. Try powering off phone too and then try and re-pair.

Have you tried shutting the radio off waiting a bit and trying again?

Yeah I tried that with no result. Now it's completely fine and has been working flawlessly the last couple days. Really strange!
