View Full Version : Help! I broke a connector while i'm cleaning the TB! What is it?

My technician said it is connected to PCV valve, he used a pipe connected it inside and tape it with some kind of sealant tape. And told me as long as there is not too much leak, it should be fine.

its just a vacuum line. just like your tech said, as long as there is no air leaking, you should be fine. but you can buy a new pcv valve for it at canadian tire and im sure you can get the hose from there too.

Thank you so much for you reply! I'm on my way to be a engine expert now. Searching all over the internet to look for what it is! Cold weather make everything brittle

yes especially plastic, you can buy metal pcv valves as well

another question, i searched PCV valve online, most of them show a elbow one, but this one is a straight one

and, the broken half inside the intake can turn 360 degree but i could not take it out.

pcv valves are make specific, so you would buy a pcv valve for a mazda 3, they fit air tight so there is no leaking thats why its hard to get out, try some needle nose pliers, if you cant get it out then take it to your tech and he'll do it

Thanks! I will drive like this first since it's been sealed by now. And then find a warm day to get it fixed.
