New Key Check Engine Light

I work at a car dealership, and had to buy a new key for my 2013 Mazda 3 I Sport. He cut the key and programmed it and it works fine. My only issue is, that when I use that specific key, my check engine light is on the whole time, and sometime my traction control light. My other key works just fine and no lights come on, however it has no fob, therefore I wanted the factory one. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
