I purchased a 2014 3 GS from Yorkdale Dufferin at the end of 2013 and was generally displeased with the service I experienced. Fast forward a few months, after discovering this forum, my girlfriend just got a new job and needed a car to commute. After reading through the dealership experience threads, I shortlisted a few better dealerships to work with for the gf's new car ( she liked mine so much, she wanted her own ). We ended up working with Gautam at Avante Mazda and truly that dealership went above and beyond to show that they appreciated our business. Gautam was a pleasure to deal with and was the only car dealer I've ever had who was in no way pressuring at any point of the negotiations - I can't count how many other sales staff that had dropped the old "if you want to make a deal it has to happen immediately".
When it came time to pick up the vehicle, we were also introduced to Terry, the finance manager. Terry continued the great example of exemplary costumer service and truly demonstrated that the entire dealership was happy for our business. While the gf was finishing up the paperwork, I had asked Terry where I could get a quick wash in the area while they finished going through the fine print. Instead of sending me around the corner, he had his service staff clean my vehicle pro-rata right in the dealership - thanks again! He also sent us home with a few small gifts, including a bottle of bubbly which we enjoyed later that night.
Even the parts department was great. I ended up picking up some oil filters for my upcoming first oil change in my car and the staff member there let me know that there was a crush washer on the oil plug which was prone to failure if over-tightened. He made sure I went home with an extra one to avoid any future headaches.
All in all, we were blown away by the great experience at Avante and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this dealership to anyone else. For us it was a far drive, but we will be returning there for all our future needs.
