Hello I am driving a mazda3 2007. Today when I started it had not energy (the battery was down) so latter I was able to turn on the car and when I got to the corner and I was trying to turn right on the corner the car almost turned off and restarted but whenever it happened the power steering light got on and gets hard. Someone with the same or similar problem. It is safe to drive it to the mechanic or should I get a tow truck?
Thanks very much. I am kind of down just to want to cry
X.

reason your car almost died is cause your battery is dead. and thats also why the power steering light comes on. i would charge the battery with a charger or let the car idle a bit to charge the battery and then head somewhere that can test your battery and charging system. it could also be something else but i would start with that, ive had that exact thing happen when my battery was dead.

You probably need to replace your battery. Once they drop down below 11.5ish volts, you'll never be able to recharge them fully. I'd go have it tested, or do it yourself if you know how, and consider a replacement.
