Erin Mills Mazda - not going back again!

I use to visit Direct Mazda but they have now become Direct Nissan. As a result, I thought I would check out Erin Mills Mazda to see if they deserved my ongoing business. Decided to try them out with a simple oil change order.

To my surprise, the bill came up to $71.64. Same oil change use to cost me $50.79 at Direct Mazda. When I asked , they told me that I had to pay extra $10 for synthetic oil because my Mazda3 "requires" this. Found this interesting since this was never required before.

Then, when I got home, I discovered that they had replaced the plastic licence plate protectors which I purchased from Canadian Tire with protectors which had their Erin Mills Mazda adverts all over them. Was quite annoyed as they had not asked my permission to do this.

I will return to the dealership in the next week or so to complain. However, I have determined from this experience that they do not deserve my trust. I will never go back to Erin Mills Mazda again.

I know it's too late.... but I would have asked them to show you where in the owner's manual sythnetic is specified.

And when you go back next week, make sure you ask them to return your Canadian Tire licence plate protectors, and if they balk, point out that swapping the the plate covers = doing work with out authorization, which is illegal under Ontario law, as is not making the replaced parts available for inspection.

Did an oil change at EM Mazda last month too...never going back. I went right after school and got there at 3:00pm...they didnt finish till 7:15pm...and i also asked them to reimburse me cuz i supplied them with a oil filter and synthetic oil. They agreed to pay me back on my card...They didnt pay me back until 3 weeks later, after calling them 14 times, and then finally got fed up and had to go in person and requested to speak to a manager...

prob gonna go to Budd's..heard good reviews about em...

Good to know that I'm not the only one not dealing with Erin Mills Mazda again.
