The horn in my M3 2011 hasn't been working for a few months. Decided to take the car in for an oil change/winter tire swap out and to get the horn checked out at the Markham Mazda Dealership. Turns out that the fuse is okay and that the horn itself is broken which needs to be ordered in and replaced for $150 + Tax. (because they don't have any instock at the moment).
I've been doing regular oil changes there for few times now and this time I feel like they've gone a bit far with their prices. They even charged me $52.50 labor just to take a look to see what was wrong with it. Then along came the recommendations:
Brake Fluid = $115 + Tax
Cabin Air Filters = $95 + Tax
Balance Tires = $69.95 + Tax
I honestly can say that I'm done with the dealerships. I just moved to Markham and a lot of folks recommend me bringing my car to Jimmy at Street Performance (5 minutes away!) to have a look at. Would a mechanic fix the horn or would they have to order in new parts to replace it? I'll probably get a second opinion on the recommendations too. Thanks!

A proper place would only charge you diagnostic if you chose not to proceed with the fix.
Just go see Jimmy. Bring your own parts or let him know and he can also source them. But call for an appointment, he's super busy for drop ins.
You'll save a ton of money.

FIAMM Trumpet Horn - Low Tone (http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/trumpet-horns-0202036p.html) $14.99 from Canadian Tire. Same horn as the stock one, except this one is a deeper tone. It's a direct replacement for the stock one as the stock connector plugs right in.
Add high and low tone. Sounds really good. Running those 2 and the stock horn and it gets people's attention

I ran out to Canadian Tire and bought the FIAMM trumpet Horn for $15 and brought it over to Jimmy today for the install. Great price and I'm happy with the service. Definitely bringing my car to him for maintenance instead of the dealerships. Thanks guys!

Why don't you go to the dealer for a warranty repair - 2013 is still quite new!
