so i'm having issues with my drl's after high beaming someone, so i thought the bulbs were burned out but when i installed new ones they still didn't work. I checked all the fuses and they are ok so i can't figure out what the problem could be. So my passenger high beam works but the low beams do not work, driver side high and low beam don't work. Now all my fogs and regular headlights work which is why i can't pin point whats going on. Is there something else i need to check or know what the problem is before i take it to a mechanic?
Check your sockets. Sometimes the metal gets bent and no longer makes contact.
If you have a multi meter, check if power is going to the bulbs. They're 10-20$.

yeah i have a multi meter but the bulb on the passenger side works only on high beam but not low beam and the driver side does not work on either high or low.
I'm confused, mine's a gen 1. You have a dual element bulb for both low and high beam?

low and high beam are 1 bulb and regular headlamps is a separate bulb. I believe more voltage is applied to the low beams to get high beams.

Do you have HIDs?
yes
Oh that's why I'm all mixed up. Sorry man, no experience with them.

lol hid are not the problem just the day time running light
Not saying it's the HIDs. The non-HIDs have sperate bulbs and the high beam acts as DRLs. That's why it wasn't making sense to me.

Have you pulled the bulb and looked at the filaments?
That will tell you if it us burnt out or not.
If the filaments are fine put a MM on the sockets and see if you are getting the right voltages.
It should be a very simple fix if you troubleshoot it....
