Falken 912 is a tire that's known for being a good bang for the buck.....
But in order for anyone on here to provide any useful info, it might help if the OP provides some additional info:
- do you have a budget you are trying to work within?
- is this a seasonal tire you're looking for, or all season?
- how many kms do you drive in an average week?
- are you an aggressive driver?

I'm trying to be around $700 (including an alignment)
i'm want an all season (treadwear and handling are important to me)
around 300km a week
i'm not gunning it every time.

I was quoted $666 for 205/50R17 Falken ZE950's in Milton. (Installed, tax and road forced balanced)

The more research I do the more crazy I become lol there are arguments of saving money by switch to a "h" rating tire but then people are doing back and forth on you shouldn't downgrade the speed rating.
I currently (well was) using Yokohama AVID S34D that came with the car and from day one they were garbage and have worn out way too fast. And I need to take my ipikes off before the warm weather really kicks in.
Are the continental pure contact a good buy/worth it?

Don't forget to check out Bf Goodrich tires, they have so many different types for a Mazda 3. I also like Toyo tires such has the Toyo Proxes

The Continental Pure Contact are a comfortable, low noise, long life all weather tire. Nothing exciting to see and doesn't add any smiles to the ride but it doesn't sound like that is what you are going for so these might be what you are needing.

I'm in the same boat as you, but have gotten a few suggestions from friends. Right now I'm cross-shopping between the Continental PureContact Eco+ and the Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2. I've been quoted around 690$ for the PureContact and 670$ for the Ventus. A lot of the rebate programs end this month, so make sure to shop quick!

Personally I love Michelins for summer and Pirellis for winter. High priced tires and probably not all that in your budget of 700 including an alignment
IMO BF Goodrich are hard tires and not the most comfortable or all that quiet. I've had toyos before as well and really did not enjoy them all that much. I had the Hankook ventus v12 tire, was a very nice tire before I destroyed them. They were relatively affordable for 17's when I had them. Personally never driven on the goodyear eagle sports but have heard many good things about them. Relatively close to your price range as well. For the Continentals I would suggest looking at the extreme contacts, they seem to be the biggest hit this year being available in strictly summer or all season

Bah. Well, next time, try not to spend too much on tires. The mazda 3 may feel sporty to drive, but you just put better tires than come stock on a BMW.
