Hi all,

I will be honest that I was pissed off to the fact that I got a $250 fine for parking at a handicapped spot. I was new to the area for I was attending a baptism. The area was busy and I saw this van pull out of the angled spot, so I went in to park there thinking that I hit the jackpot. I looked and saw the Angle Parking Sign (Green) but little did I know that there was another sign above it saying "Handicapped Parking Sunday Only" The spot did not have any signs on the road/ground. All of this got me really upset about having to pay $250 (which I could not afford because I just got new wheels.)

Long story short, I was upset about the expensive parking ticket that I accidentally pulled the ebrake so hard up after leaving the area and parking somewhere else.

Now I noticed that my ebrake button does not protrude as much as it usually did when it it pulled up. The mechanism still works and the ebrake still work but it just makes it harder to release the ebrake.

Any thought on how I can fix this? Also, do you guys think I did some bad damage to the ebrake internally? I really didnt mean to lash out on my car like that. I was just really upset about myself for not seeing the other sign...

I'm sorry for the anger management issue guys. But I would like to get some help about the ebrake. Thanks

Worst case, you manged to bend something that needs to be un-bent. Yank out the centre console and have a look at the ratchet mechanism. There are several how-to's around here on removing the console.......

you might have just pulled the handle in a way that it started to slide off. Try to wiggle and pull it back down towards the base. This has happened a few times on my cars

This seems to be the simplest solution so far, I will try this first. I'll keep this posted.
