So I've had my shocks, springs and all mounts/bearings replaced in the front but am still getting a clicking or dull knocking sound when I go over bumps. All frontend suspension is new. Seems to be coming almost from the firewall best I can explain it. LCA's, swaybar endlinks, sway bar, engine mount etc.. has been tightened and retightened. Could it be steering or tranny mount related? Ist there anything that can cause such between the bottom of the steering contraption? It seems to be coming from just outside the firewall, not in the cabin. I've had 2 mechs try to figure it out and no results so far. I've tried to fix it by cranking up the stereo but comes right back when I turn it off:P

You said you had all mounts checked?

What about the engine mounts? The 1st gen's were known for this.

Have you tried Limitless Auto on Kingston Rd/Morningside Ave? Faisal is pretty good at front end stuff.

All mounts have been checked included engine mounts and all new suspension mounts/bearings.....Seems to be hard to replicate it by pushing down on the car as it's sitting, but it makes the noise when you drive over bumps. Creeking is worse over bad roads. Best I could describe the sound would be if you could hear yourself chomp on your own teeth with your mouth closed. Know it sounds funny, but fairly decent replication.
