Hello Toronto Mazda!

New to Mazdas, car forums, and modifications- but i have learnt alot this past week thanks to this community!!! :D

one thing i have not been able to find is a picture of a lowered 3 with stock 15's on.

I am debating whether to spend my money on lowering it with the 15's or, upgrading to 17's without lowering.

i cannot find what it looks like to have it lowered with the stock 15's.

any help will be appreciated in my big first car decision! thanks

About the only 17" wheels that the car looks good on when not lowered, are original OEM wheels. Which is basically stock. Lower it and keep your 15s (for now), maybe add some spacers to fill out the wheel wells, and enjoy the better handling and looks.

maybe some white lettering on the tires.....

The lowering and new wheels really have nothing to do with one another. Reducing the wheel gap will look better and lowering the center of gravity will improve handling. New wheels will help you personalize your vehicle and change it to something you prefer but without lowering, the wheel gap will look just as bad with or without new wheels. It just looks ok stock because its the norm so it doesn't look out of place.

Like others have said, I would lower it on your 15's for now as well. If you have some money left over from that, get some spacers. Then start saving up for some 17's :)

I chose prokits first over my rims. Lowering made my all-season steelies look nicer than what they did at stock height.

Do it!! Dump her! Then like that you save some money and find proper wheels to fit your lowered car

for what it's worth, i was lowered on Sportlines, or Yonaka Coilovers. it was about the same drop either way.

That looks much better than stock wheel gap.
