im looking into HID for my OEM fogs from that i bought from "spyder" ive been told that the bulbs burn out awefully quick due to the housing is short and the bulbs are longer then what would normally be in the housing? can anyone confirm that or is just word going around?

Depends why it burned out.
I had to bend the little metal cap back when installing mine as the bulb was resting right on it the first time and the rattling ended up mangling the little wire on the HID.
Since I have bent out the cap, they have been fine.

If this is for H11 housing, the bulb should just fit but it may be touching the metal cap. Pogi's Mazda 5 had the same problem when I installed it.
The bulb just nicks the cap, I don't think he's ever experienced any issues?

ehh buddy how she going. ill be ordering mine from you soon. the metal cap? im still awaiting for my fogs to arrive form CarId. I ordered the OEM Spyder Foglight ASSY complete install for 100 and some bucks shipped, however their on back order. beats anyone ive tried ordering from. i heard from a Napa guy that some people were apparently having problems with the bulbs blowing and what not because they were to long for the housing.

The cap inside the foglight that covers the bulb.
