I just ordered two LED strips to go under my dash to illuminate my footwells. I have done a lot of reading and found several posts/writeups, all scary to a noob, on how to install them. I did find one post in another mazda 3 forum that makes mention, no writeup, to using add-a-circuit to connect LED's. I found an add-a-circuit at cnd tire and princess auto but it only has one wire to connect to LED but the LED's I ordered has a (black with white stripe of the 50cm wire) to the positive wire of the existing power source and connect the negative (black wire of the 50cm wire) to the negative wire of the existing power source. Can I use this add-a-circuit?

Add a circuit gives you the power (positive) lead. The negative ground from the leds needs to be connected to a ground wire or the metal chassis of the car.

Ok, that makes sense. Could I bother you for a ground wire source suggestion or metal chassis location please and thanks.

There is a ground bolt at the side of the fuse panel in the driver's side dashboard. You'll see it when you open the access panel.
